A Revolutionary Makeup Line By Jane Iredale

Jane Iredale is the president and founder of Iredale Mineral Cosmetics, a makeup line that is tailored for sensitive skin. She first started her company in 1994, following her previous work in the entertainment industry, where she first made her name.

Jane worked in TV, film and theatre before launching her own collection and it was here that she found inspiration. Her work with models and actresses throughout her years in the industry allowed her to see the importance of makeup and how dependant on it some women really are.

Sadly, heavy use of makeup for years on end can result in sensitive skin, breakouts, dermatitis and blemishes. Her understanding of this led her to her next step in life, creating a makeup line that is actually good for your skin.

Jane strongly believes that makeup is an essential part of a woman’s well-being and that every woman should be able to embrace their beauty, skin condition or not! The ill-effects of many makeup brands spurred her on to develop a unique makeup line using minerals and new technologies.

Jane Iredale UK is not just a modification of conventional makeup; it is a true expansion of skin care all together. Each Jane Iredale UK product features loose minerals that are inert and cannot support bacteria, meaning that the skin has a barrier of protection. That’s not the only protection her products support either, as they are also embedded with sunscreen.

Jane’s mineral cosmetics all have anti-inflammatory properties, helping those with acne or rosacea-prone skin types. They are also oil-free and non-comedogenic, which allows the skin to breathe and function in the same way it would without any makeup on.

Although the makeup has huge benefits for those with skin disorders, the products are not compromised when it comes to quality. The products provide full coverage and do not fade, crease or smear.

Jane Iredale Foundation Provides Perfection for Everyone – Skin Condition or Not!

Finding make up that suits your skin tone, provides flawless coverage and lasts all day is one hell of a task for many of us women. And if you’re one of the many that has a skin condition, you will know just how difficult it is to find something that ticks all the boxes yet doesn’t harm your skin.

Make up is a very controversial subject, even though many people wear it. If you go to a doctor they will simply say “don’t wear it”, in the same way that many others will too. Plenty of people frown upon make up and do not really see the true importance of it. Make up is a way gaining self-confidence for many users and suffers of poor skin. It provides a way out for those who do have imperfections.

Jane Iredale worked within the entertainment industry for years, working behind the scenes of TV, theatre and film. During this time Jane was able to see first hand the importance and disadvantages of make up. She saw women of all ages suffering from ill-effects of make up with skin conditions that, as a result, threaten their careers and shatter self-confidence.

After doing some research she found that pretty much everyone, at least once in their lives, will develop a skin condition of some kind. She saw that there was a massive gap in the market to produce make up that can actually be good for the skin, yet still work wonders for the complexion.

Jane Iredale foundation, along with the rest of her huge collection, is now a top seller in 40 different countries, including the UK! The pioneering woman has devoted her life to creating make up that is anti-inflammatory, sunscreen-protecting, non-comedogenic, oil-free, allergy-free, weightless and high quality in all areas of skin care.

4 simple skin care tips to keep you young and radiant

Our daily lives can sometimes have a big impact on us and tire us out. However, this is nothing compared to the impact they have on our skin. It's important that we take care of our skin each day so that it stays soft and supple, as well as comfortable, and, most importantly, healthy.

Taking good care of your skin is not a demanding task, and can easily be done daily. A little bit of love goes a long way, and you can ensure your skin stays beautiful and healthy with four simple steps.

1. Cleanse
You should use a cleanser which is suited to your skin type. There are cleansers specially made for different skin types such as oily, dry or ageing skin. Don't use soap on your face, as it will dry it out. If you're not sure about your skin type, consult a beauty therapist from Guinot or a similar company.

2. Exfoliate
This is one of the most important skin care tips which is often forgotten. When you don't exfoliate daily or weekly, you're allowing dead skin cells to build up, which will make your skin look dull and age you. Massage your skin using a face or body scrub, or exfoliation gloves. You can also use a bath brush to exfoliate before you wash.

3. Moisturise
When your skin is exfoliated, moisturiser will be better absorbed. Don't overdo it – when your skin is feel tight and dry, you should moisturise. You are going for “dewy” skin. If you moisturise too much, your pores will get clogged.

4. Use sunscreen
Sunscreen is usually associated with summer, but you should wear it throughout the year. As long as you're outside during the day, there is sun touching your skin. This is one of the main causes of ageing and skin damage. Companies such as Guinot provide cosmetics with built-in sun protection.
